Why the card and the ledger belong together
Bill-splitting apps stop at the arithmetic; card products stop at the payment. Between them sits the month-end reconstruction: whose card was used, which charge was shared, who already paid. SplitLedger closes that gap by holding both, so attribution happens at the transaction, not after it. That is the whole edge, and it is why settling up takes a tap rather than an evening.
SplitLedger started from the month-end ritual: a group chat, a bank app, and twenty minutes of someone reconstructing who owes what from screenshots. The problem is not that splitting is hard; it is that the card and the record live in different places, so the record is always rebuilt after the fact. SplitLedger puts the card inside the ledger, so the balance is correct as spending happens and settling up is one tap, not one argument.
