Why we built it
Owners of older dogs already pay for vet checks and premium food, but the data between visits is thin. Consumer trackers borrow human algorithms and report breed averages that say little about one animal. PulseHound started from the species-specific side: build the baseline per dog and per breed, then alert on departures from it. The collar is in engineering validation now, and we publish the evidence as it comes.
PulseHound exists because the wearables market solved this problem for people and left dogs on borrowed maths. We build baselines per dog and per breed, so a resting heart rate is judged against that animal's own normal, not a human one. The collar is quiet on the neck, the alerts are few, and the reports are written so a vet can act on them in a ten-minute consult rather than a data dump.
