Coffee and oats. The ratio is the whole product.

Most canned coffee is sweetened iced coffee with milk powder. Ours is cold brew blended with barista-grade oat milk at a ratio we tested, so it drinks like a flat white. One SKU, no second flavour, no syrup.

Our story

Why a can, why Berlin

Kaltbrühe started from a simple annoyance: the chilled coffee in Berlin fridges is either sweet or dairy, and rarely both absent. We wanted the flat white we already order, in a format that survives a commute. So we fixed a recipe, coffee to oat, and tested it for taste and shelf life rather than shipping the first pass. The brand is Berlin-specific on purpose: U-Bahn, bike lane, office fridge. Recipe v1 is frozen for a 30-person sensory test before any co-packer commitment.

Kaltbrühe began with a single ratio: coffee to oat, fixed and tested until a chilled can tasted like the flat white you buy at the counter. The recipe is ours and does not change; the shelf life was proven before the first case shipped. It is made in Berlin for people who read the back of the can and commute through Mitte, Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg.

How the first drop works

  1. Join the waitlist

Leave your email. You get the launch date and the stockist list first.

  2. Sensory test

Recipe v1 goes to a 30-person test. Results decide the final ratio.

  3. Co-packer and drop

We commit to a run only after the test. Cases ship from Berlin.

Questions

Anything else? Join the list and ask us directly.

Is there any sugar in it?

No added sugar, no sweetener, no syrup. The only sweetness is what the oats carry naturally. Check the nutrition panel at launch for the final figures.

Is it dairy-free and vegan?

Yes by formulation: barista-grade oat milk, no dairy. We will confirm the oat base supplier's allergen statement on the can before launch.

How many calories per can?

Target is roughly 25-35 kcal per 250ml can. That is a target, not a lab result. The final number goes on the can and on this page once measured.

Where can I buy it in Berlin?

Retail and foodservice in Mitte, Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg first. No stockists are confirmed yet, so the list goes live here when contracts are signed.

Can I order a 12-can case now?

Not yet. The case pre-order opens with the first drop. Joining the waitlist puts you first in line and takes no payment.

Why only one flavour?

A single SKU keeps the recipe honest and the co-packer run simple. A stronger brew is a possible line extension, but only after launch.
